Moosegrove newborns

Tiuhti's kittens were born on 16th of December. Birth weights and order: 136g OCI n24 boy, 128g OCI b24 boy, 118g OCI n24 boy, 116g OCI n24 girl and the last one to be born was 104g OCI n 24 girl. By the date the weigths have almost doubled. Both of the girls and one of the boys are already reserved. Tiuhti's kittens' names will be as followed: FIN*Moosegrove Kiri Mangu (black), FIN*Moosegrove Kókiri (the brave one), FIN*Moosegrove Kaiâwhina (beautiful assistant), FIN*Moosegrove Kaiwhakataetae (athlete) and FIN*Moosegrove Kâtuarehe (artful). The names are in Māori this time, as the father AUS*Ocivalley Starfare Gem is from that side of the globe. (Click pictures to enlarge.)

Delicia's kittens, two boys and one girl, were born during last night 25th of December. The delivery was rather easy and Delicia proved to be a super mom again. The mother and babies are doing fine and getting weight in a steady base. The girl is already reserved from this litter. The names of Delicia's L-litter babies are in portuguese as usual: FIN*Moosegrove Lago de Neve (the lake of snow) the light coloured boy is probably ivory, FIN* Moosegrove Lar Doce Lar (home sweet home) OCI b24 and FIN*Moosegrove Laranga Doce (sweet orange) OCI b24. The perfect picture

I love this picture! It was taken by Markus Wikström in POHKIS cat exhibition 8.12.2007. It shows perfectly how relaxed and outgoing cat Ikaro is. Such a perfect picture.


More exciting news: we have KITTENS! Tiuhti gave birth to 5 spotted kittens. Very soon I'll enclose more information and pictures about them in here.

Moosegrove Ilusão Inédita 2 x BIS in Riga

Moosegrove Ilusão Inédita aka Iivi, Icaro's full sister, had a very succesful show weekend in Riga (1.12-2.12.2007) by being BIS both days! Huge CONGRATS to Hanna (Iivi's owner)! :) Altogether Iivi has now won BIS three times, and being a female ocicat it is already very well done, because, as we know, the males always have an advantage against the females in the classes 11&12. Moosegrove Conquistatore aka Metku accompanied Iivi to Riga, earning the desired certs and being NOM on Sunday as well.

In the picture Iivi is exactly 3 months old. Picture was taken in Kempele by Heikki Siltala in summer 2007. It was Iivi's first time in a cat exhibition, and you can all easily see that she wasn't nervous at all. :) She has a wonderful temperament and likes to explore as much as possible, so the show environment offers her what she likes: action.

A summary of Iivi's show year 2007. Iivi has taken part in 15 show exhibition days since 8.7.2007. She has been 15 x EX1 (always winning her competition if more than 1 brownspotted female kitten in the same class), 4 x BIV, 7 X NOM, 3 X BIS.
